Gum arabic, also known as acacia gum, is a natural gum consisting of the hardened sap of various species of the acacia tree. in the present day, gum arabic is predominantly collected from two related species, namely Acacia senegal and Acacia Seyal. Gum from Acacia Seyal is commonly known as Talha. Gum Talha is sap from the branches of Acacia Seyal trees. It's a natural emulsifier, which means that it can keep together substances which normally would not mix well. In food products Gum Arabic is used as a functional ingredient.
